While in Gunnison, I stayed overnight at the home of Steve Westbay, and his wife Cynthia. Steve's the planning director for the City of Gunnsion; Cynthia's a second-grade school teacher.
Before arriving at their home, I had the opportunity to sit in on a regular meeting of the Gunnison City Council -- which included a discussion about how to deal with the endangered Gunnsion Prairie Dog. Not a prairie dog is Iris, shown with Steve and Cynthia.
