Canon City Planning Commission Chair George Turner hosted me overnight.
Geoge is a born story-teller, who served for years as Canon City's Mayor and then as head of the Chamber of Commerce.
Now retired, he enjoys spending time as an engineer on the Buckskin Joe minature railway -- which takes tourists on a short ride to view the Royal Gorge Bridge just west of Canon City.
George also took me out to Janey's Chile Wagon, a great local eatery.
